Casino Time Privacy and Cookies Policy

This Casino Time Privacy and Cookie Policy (hereafter, the “Policy”) is incorporated into and forms Section 3 part (iv) of the Casino Time Terms & Conditions(the “Player Agreement”). Any conflict or inconsistency between this Policy and the terms of the Player Agreement shall be resolved in accordance with Section 3 of the Player Agreement.
1. What Does This Policy Govern?
This Policy governs the collection, use, disclosure, retention, and other processing of personal information by Casino Time, including through Casino Time products and services, on Casino Time websites (“Websites”) and via mobile applications (collectively, the offerings via the Website, the mobile applications and Casino Time’s other products and services, shall be referred to in this Policy as the “Services”). This Policy explains what types of personal information are collected, how the personal information may be used (for what purposes), to whom the personal information may be transferred or disclosed, and how you can ask us questions about our privacy practices. Generally speaking, “personal information” means information about an identifiable individual.
If you do not want us to collect, use, or share your information in the ways described in this Policy, please do not use the Services. By using the Services, you consent to the collection and use of your information (including personally identifiable information) by us as identified herein, in compliance with this Policy and the terms and conditions for the Services.
2. Context for Casino Time’s Personal Information Practices
Casino Time is running Casino Time Website and providing Casino Time Offerings as part of the open and regulated internet gaming (iGaming) market in Ontario conducted and managed by iGO In the course of providing the Services, in relation to player account, Casino Time collects, uses and discloses personal information on behalf of and as agent to iGaming Ontario.
Casino Time collects personal information in accordance with The Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (Ontario) (FIPPA), Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (“Acts”) and other applicable privacy laws, and under the authority of Ontario Regulation 722/21 made under the Alcohol and Gaming Commission, and the operating agreement entered into between Casino Time and iGaming Ontario, as each of the foregoing is amended and/or replaced from time to time.
3. Definitions
If not otherwise defined in this Policy, the following terms when used in this Policy shall have the meanings set out beside them.
Cookies – A packet of data sent by a web server to a browser, which is returned by the browser each time it subsequently accesses the same server, used to identify the user, or track their access to the server.
Device – piece of portable electronic equipment that can connect to the internet, such as a smartphone, tablet, or laptop computer. FIPPA – Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act provides a right of access to records held by public bodies and regulates how public manage personal information.
HIO – Person who currently holds or has held within the last 5 years the specific office or position of head of an international organization.
iGO – Internet Gaming of Ontario, working with the Government of Ontario and the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) to establish a new online gaming market that helps protect consumers gambling through private companies (Operators).
PCMLTFA – Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act implements specific measures to detect and deter money laundering and financing of terrorist activities to facilitate the investigation or prosecution of money laundering and terrorist financing offences.
Player Account – Player’s account of notional funds corresponding to Canadian dollars that is maintained on the iGaming Platform, and also includes the Player’s registration information, deposit and withdrawal transaction history, and game-play information that the Player can access through Casino Time.ca
PEP – Politically Exposed Person is an individual who has a high-ranking job in government or some other type of political position. Payment Service Provider – financial entity that is authorized to process transactions between Player and Casino Time.
Processing – the collection, use, disclosure, transfers, storage, and other processing of personal information.
SMS – text messaging service component of most telephone, internet, and mobile devices.
Third Party – An individual or entity that is involved in a transaction but is not one of the principles and, thus, has a lesser interest in the transaction.
4. What Personal Information is Collected?
Casino Time collects the types of personal information, which is required by law, or otherwise reasonably necessary to achieve the purposes set out in this Policy. “Under FIPPA, “personal information” means recorded information about an identifiable individual.”
The following provides some examples of personal information Casino Time may collect:

| (g) | Transaction information (such as play or payment history, customer service history, or other information related to transactions between you and Casino Time.) |
You can visit Casino Time’s websites without registering for an Internet Gaming account (“Internet Gaming”). However, certain products and services available through Casino Time websites require that you register for an Internet Gaming account. Should you choose to register for an Internet Gaming account, Casino Time will process your personal information in the course of administering your account.
The following types of information may be collected throughout your registration for, and use of, an Internet Gaming account:
- Full Name
- Home Address
- Date of Birth
- Email Address
- Phone Number
- Transaction and Play History
- Supporting Documents to verify Identity (government issued identification including Driver’s Licence, Passport etc.)
- Device Information and Connection IP Address
- Payment Information
- Withdrawal Account Information
- Language and Marketing Preferences
- Device Location
- Supporting Documents to Confirm Withdrawal Account ownership
- Responsible Gambling Settings/Limits
- Username, Password, Security Questions and Answers
- Occupation and Industry
- Customer Service Records
- Player ID (assigned by Casino Time)
5. How is Personal Information Used
Casino Time collects, uses and discloses and otherwise Processes personal information for the reasons and the purposes set out in this Policy. In addition to providing you the terms in this Policy, when Casino Time collects personal information from patrons for other purposes, we provide a “Notice of Collection” which explains the specific purposes of collection for a given program, service or offering.
Casino Time collects, uses, and discloses and otherwise Processes player account information on behalf of and as an agent to iGO to satisfy Casino Time and iGO’s obligations at law. For example, Casino Time will collect certain of the above personal information, and if provided by you, your country of residence, business telephone number, employer’s name, employer’s address, citizenship, and alias/preferred name for the purposes of complying with our anti-money laundering obligations under applicable law.
How it is Used for Internet Gaming Account Purposes?
In general, and in addition to other processing as described throughout this Policy, the processing of personal information for administering Internet Gaming accounts can be organized into three main phases;
| (a) | Registration & Account Activation – when you choose to register for an account, Casino Time will collect certain identity, demographic, employment, and contact information. This information will be used to administer your account throughout your use of the Internet Gaming service, to confirm your eligibility for registration, and for anti-fraud and legal compliance purposes. Additionally, Casino Time will seek to confirm that the device you use to register is located in Ontario, as Casino Time’s Internet Gaming service is only available to persons residing in Ontario and who use the service while physically located in Ontario. Prior to account activation, Casino Time will seek to verify the identity of a registering individual. To confirm your identity, Casino Time shares some of the information you provide at registration with a third-party identity verification service(s). If your identity cannot be verified with the information you provided at registration, we may require that you submit additional information or proof of identity prior to the completion of registration. Access to this additional information will only be provided to Casino Time personnel who require such access to complete the identity verification process. The information will be retained in a manner consistent with this Policy and Casino Time’s internal retention and information security procedures. |
| (b) | Use of the service – after registration and account activation, you will be able to securely log into Casino Time’s Internet Gaming service. When you log in, Casino Time will seek to confirm that the device you are using is located in Ontario, as Casino Time’s Internet Gaming service is only available to persons residing in Ontario and who use the service while physically located in Ontario. Additionally, information about your use, such as transaction data, responsible gambling settings and play history will be retained and used to provide you access to your overall account history, for responsible gambling purposes including monitoring, analyzing, and communicating with you about your use of the Internet Gaming service, and for purposes as otherwise described throughout this policy. |
| (c) | Purchasing and Withdrawals – while logged in to your Internet Gaming account, you will have the option to purchase certain Casino Time products and services. Should you choose to do so, Casino Time will collect payment card information and payment through its third-party secure payment providers. Transaction information will be processed to provide you access to a history of your transactions, for anti-fraud purposes, for compliance with applicable law and regulation, and as otherwise described throughout this Policy. Should you choose to withdraw funds from your Internet Gaming account, Casino Time will collect bank account information from you to process your withdrawal requests. This information will be shared with Casino Time’s partner financial institution to process your withdrawal request. Where permitted or required for compliance with applicable law, including the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act, Casino Time may collect additional Information through a third-party identity verification service. In addition, you will be required to upload supporting documentation to confirm your withdrawal information. Access to uploaded supporting documentation will only be provided to Casino Time personnel who require such access to complete the withdrawal process. The documentation will be retained in a manner consistent with this Policy and Casino Time’s internal retention and information security procedures. |
6. Referrals Including ‘Tell a Friend’
If you choose to use our referral program to tell a friend about our Service, Casino Time will ask you for your friend’s name and email address. Casino Time will send your friend a one-time email on your behalf inviting them to sign up for our Services. We store this information for the sole purpose of sending this one-time email and tracking the success of our referral program, and we do not use the names or email addresses submitted in these circumstances for any other purpose without consent to do so. You are responsible for ensuring that you only submit email addresses of individuals with whom you have a personal or family relationship and who would want to receive the message.
7. Politically Exposed Person (“PEP”) and/or Head of an International Organization
If you attest that you are a Politically Exposed Person (“PEP”), the Head of an International Organization (“HIO”) or a family member of a close associate of a PEP or HIO, as those terms are defined in the terms and Conditions, you will be required to provide additional information such as your source of funds, your source of wealth, the nature of connection to the PEP or HIO if you are a family member or close associate of a PEP or HIO, the office or position of the PEP/HIO, the PEP or HIO organization/institution name and, if you are a family member or close associate of a PEP or HIO, the nature of the relationship between the family member and close associate of the PEP or HIO. Such information is collected on behalf of iGaming Ontario and may be shared with other Operators as part of the enterprise level player monitoring.
8. Other Reasons Why Casino Processes Personal Information?
In addition to the foregoing, the most common purposes for Casino Time’s collection of personal information can be organized into four main categories:
| (a) | For program, service, or product administration – to provide you with service you have requested or to administer your participation in a particular program. That may include using personal information for the following purposes:

9. Location, Tracking and Profiling Information

Tracking Technologies obtain your physical location by accessing your IP address, MAC address, RFID, hardware embedded article/production number, embedded software number (such as UUID), Wi-Fi positioning system, or device GPS coordinates. The Tracking Technologies report to us, our service providers and/or iGaming Ontario the physical and geographic location of the computer or Internet connected device from which you are accessing the Services. Your physical location will be reported to us, our services providers and/or iGaming Ontario when you use the Services.
You may withdraw this consent at any time by turning off the location settings or by notifying us in writing that you would like to withdraw such consent. If you turn off the location settings or withdraw such consent, you will not be able to access the Services. Your location information is retained for no longer than necessary for the purposes set out herein or as otherwise required to meet legal or business requirements. Location coordinate data is transmitted via Transport Layer Security (“TLS”) and/or Secure Socket Layer (“SSL”) technology and stored in secured server managed by us and our geolocation and operating partners.
Neither we nor our partners will resell your location information to any third party, except that we reserve the right to provide location information as necessary to satisfy any law, regulation or government agency request.
10. Text Messages and Other Electronic Communications
If you provide Casino Time a cell phone number and expressly consent to receive text messages from Casino Time, you expressly consent to receive recurring informational and transactional texts and marketing messaging, including texts made using an auto dialer, from or on behalf of Casino Time to the number you provided. By providing a cell phone number and expressly consenting to receive SMS messages from Casino Time, you warrant and represent that you are either the account owner of the cell phone number you provide to us, or you have the express permission of the account holder to provide the number and to consent to automated texts to that number.
Although there is no fee associated with this service, your carrier may charge you for each message you receive in accordance with your calling plan. You agree that we are not responsible in any way for such charges.

11. Obtaining Information from Affiliates
Casino Time may obtain information about you from land-based gaming affiliates and from third parties including our business partners and other companies and individuals that you refer to our Services. This information may include, among other things, information related to your land-based rewards account that we need to make the services available to you, information to set up your wagering account and information necessary to connect your wagering account to your account with one or more of our business partners.
12. Persons Under 19
The Services are for use by persons 19 or older. If you are under 19, you may not access, attempt to access, or use the Service. We do not knowingly collect or allow the collection of personal information via the services from persons under 19. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that his or her children under the age of 19 has provided us with personal information, the parent or guardian may contact us at the details set out below “Contact Us” section to have such personal information deleted.
13. Transfers and Disclosures of Personal Information
Casino Time may disclose personal information to law enforcement, government regulators, and other third parties where permitted or required by law.
From time to time, Casino Time may disclose personal information to service providers acting on its behalf to enable them to perform specific types of processing and other specialized services in accordance with Section 40(2) of FIPPA or otherwise to provide services to and on behalf of Casino Time.
To provide Internet Gaming products and services, your personal information may be disclosed to third-party service providers assisting Casino Time in the administration of Internet Gaming. Examples of such third parties include:
- Identity Verification Services – to prevent fraudulent activity and for compliance with applicable law, Casino Time shares your name, date of birth, phone number and address with a third-party identity verification service at registration or in the course of administering active Internet gaming accounts. This process is done through third-party integration using government issued identification provided at the time of registration. Identity verification Services may share this information with your telecommunications provider to validate identity.
- Content Providers – to provide casino games and sports wagering, Casino Time shares your language preferences and a unique alphanumeric identifier assigned by Casino Time to your Internet Gaming account with third-party content providers.
- Address Verification – to confirm your address is entered correctly at registration, Casino Time shares the address with an address verification service integrated into the platform. The other information you provide Casino Time is not shared for address verification.
- Payment Provider – to facilitate payment, your payment card information is collected and processed by Casino Time’s secure payment provider. Your full payment card information is retained by the secure payment provider and is not shared with or stored by Casino Time.
- Banking Provider – to facilitate your requests for withdrawals of funds, the bank account information you provide is shared with Casino Time’s partner financial institution. This information is used to ensure your withdrawals are deposited into your account.
- Geo-Location Provider – the Casino Time Internet Gaming service is only available to eligible individuals who are physically located in Ontario. Accordingly, your connection information and the location of the device you use to access the internet Gaming service may be shared with Casino Time’s third-party geo-location service. This information may also be shared with Casino Time’s marketing vendor for geo location targeted marketing if a player has agreed to marketing communication.
- Responsible Gambling Researchers – from time to time, Casino Time shares de-identified play data with responsible gambling researchers.
- Credit Reporting agencies and Credit Reference Bureaus, including for conducting name, address, and age checks. To open an account for you, we will supply your personal information to the credit bureau via our KYC service provider, and they will provide us information about you which may include identity and information about your financial situation and financial history, shared credit details and fraud prevention information. Casino Time will use as a third- party service provider to verify the details of your government issued photo identification and proof of address documents as required by our anti-money laundering obligations under applicable law. We may also engage and transfer information to service providers to provide certain services to us or to perform certain services on our behalf including analytics, marketing, fulfillment, Know Your Client verification, etc. In some cases, service providers may collect or be provided with access to your information as reasonably necessary to perform such services on the condition that they not use or disclose your personal information for other purposes. Service providers processing of your personal information will be limited to what’s contemplated in this Policy.
Service providers who process personal information on behalf of Casino Time are contractually obliged to protect the privacy of Casino Time customers and to only process personal information for the specific purpose for which Casino Time provides instruction or permission.
Marketing and Advertising and Third-Party Service Providers
When you register for an account with Casino Time, you will have the option to sign-up to receive marketing information, including notifying you of special promotions, offers and events via push notifications, e-mail, and other means.
We may also link personal information (including your name, mobile phone number, and e-mail address) with non-personal information (including information collected through Tracking Technologies and Wi-Fi services as described above) and use such information for our own marketing purposes.
Casino Time uses third-party services to serve advertisements on various websites in the Province of Ontario. These third-party advertising services will collect non-personal information from you after you have seen our ad either by clicking on it or scrolling past it, such as:
- Advertising identifiers
- Cookie Identifiers
- Device Identifiers
- IP Addresses
- Referral page URL and title
- Geolocation information
- Demographic data that may be associated with one of the above identifiers
Casino Time uses this information to tailor its marketing and advertising as well as for analytics and research. Information collected will allow us to create a profile to better provide our advertising to reach specific markets. This information is only retained as long as it is useful, otherwise, it is destroyed.

Our third-party vendors will also utilize your non-personal information for market research. The collection, use and retention of information is stated in their Privacy Policies along with the option to Opt Out.
You may opt-out at any time and other third-party ad networks, including those operated by members of the Network Advertising Initiative (“NAI”) and the Digital Advertising Alliance (“DAA”).

14. Disclosing Information to Business Partners For Marketing Purposes
We may share the information we collect with our business partners and other third parties for joint marketing purposes and/or our business partners’ (or our own) marketing purposes.
If you opt-out of permitting us to share your personal information with our business partners and other third parties for marketing purposes, if those third parties provided services to Casino Time for the purposes set out in this Policy, we may still share the information we collect with them to allow them to provide the services reasonably required to provide you the services you’ve requested such as processing transactions, fulfilling your requests, responding to your inquiries, etc.
15. Third-party websites and services
In some cases, our websites provide links to other sites created and maintained by other public and/or private sector organizations. We provide these links solely for your information and convenience. Casino Time is not responsible for the privacy practices of websites not administered by or on behalf of Casino Time.
You should review and understand the privacy policies posted on any linked sites you visit before using those sites or providing any personal information on them.
iGO Centralized Self Exclusion Database
iGaming Ontario offers a voluntary centralized self-exclusion tool (“BetGuard”) whereby individuals may register to centrally self-exclude from all regulated igaming sites in Ontario. BetGuard is offered subject to the BetGuard privacy policy. In connection with BetGuard, iGaming Ontario, CasinoTime Inc, and their respective authorized suppliers on behalf of iGaming Ontario, may collect, use, share, disclose, retain, or otherwise process your Personal Information to develop, operate, maintain, sustain, update and modify BetGuard. This information may be used to verify your identity and centralized self-exclusion status, enable your centralized self exclusion from regulated igaming sites, or for any other lawful purpose under the BetGuard privacy policy and the BetGuard terms and conditions. Personal Information will be retained only for the period allowed by the BetGuard privacy policy and Applicable Law. For further information please review the applicable BetGuard privacy policy.
16. Accuracy of Your Personal Information
Casino Time will use reasonable efforts to ensure your personal information is up-to-date and accurate. We ask that you update your information through your account whenever your information is incomplete, out-of-date, or otherwise changes. Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access, update, and correct inaccuracies in your personal information which is in our custody and control by contacting us at [email protected]. We may request certain personal information for the purpose of verifying the identity of the individual seeking access to his or her personal information records.
Please contact the Casino Time Support Center at [email protected] to advise Casino Time of any updates or corrections you would like to make regarding your personal information.
17. Retention and Storage
Personal information collected by Casino Time is retained for 7 years after account closure in accordance with applicable law and Casino Time’s Records Retention Policies. After the applicable retention period for records containing personal information has elapsed, the records are securely disposed of in accordance with Casino Time information security policies.
Without limiting the foregoing, in certain circumstances as described in the Casino Time Player Agreement, your account may be deemed inactive or dormant. In such circumstances, personal information will be retained in accordance with applicable law and Casino Time’s records retention policies (7 years post account closure). After the applicable retention period for records containing personal information has elapsed, the records are securely disposed of in accordance with Casino Time information security policies.
18. Security and Limits on Security
Casino Time has implemented physical, procedural, and technological security measures to protect the personal information in its custody and under its control. Access to personal information at Casino Time is restricted to individuals who require such access to perform their duties. Furthermore, Casino Time imposes information security requirements on third-party vendors and service providers to whom personal information is disclosed.
Non-gaming information and non-live gaming data collected by us through the Services is stored on secure services located in Canada (Ontario and Quebec), United States (Virginia, New Jersey, Texas), Europe (Netherlands). Internet wagering and live game play data collected by us through the Services is stored on servers located in Europe (Netherlands) and is protected by firewalls and other industry standard security measures.
These security measures are intended to protect our servers from unauthorized access. However, no security system is impenetrable, and these systems could become accessible in the event of a security breach. Casino Time has the controls in place that are designed to detect potential data breaches, contain and minimize the loss of data, and conduct forensic investigations of a breach. Casino Time will provide you notice in the event of an incident that materially impacts your personal information (a “Data Incident”). As required by law, we will notify you, iGaming Ontario, and any other applicable regulatory authority about the data Incident, and we will aid iGaming Ontario and any applicable authorities in the management and handling of the data incident.
Within Casino Time our Customer Support Team, Finance Team, Platform Manager, Chiefs of Operation, Information, Compliance and Privacy, have restricted access to personal information on a need-to-know basis and are required to take reasonable measures to ensure that unauthorized persons cannot view or access your personal information. Employees and authorized contractors (section 13) who violate our privacy policies are subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment or contract for service agreement.
As a standard security practice, Casino Time will take reasonable steps which are generally recognized in the industry to ensure that the communication methods used to support the services do not permit collection or communication by methods that have known security weaknesses or vulnerabilities.
In situations where your personal information is collected by third parties under contract with Casino Time for performance of their contractual duties and other purposes, we require such third parties to exercise reasonable care to protect that information and restrict the use of your personal information to the purposes for which it was provided. When we share your personal information with Casino Time Affiliates or third parties in accordance with the Policy, we require them to exercise reasonable care to protect such information and restrict the use of such information to the purposes for which it was provided to them.
No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. Casino Time therefore does not warrant, represent, or guarantee the absolute security personal information in our custody or under our control.
We cannot enforce or control the security of the computers, electronic devices, or electronic communication method that you may use to send e-mails and submit information to use over the Internet. You are responsible for ensuring that the computers, electronic devices and electronic communication methods you use will provide adequate security for communicating with us. Passwords should be strong and kept private. Any account information supplied to or received by Casino Time will be considered confidential and not shared without your prior consent. We are not responsible for the disclosure or interception of information that you send us before we receive it.
19. Personal Information Processed and Stored Outside Canada
